Heartbeat Ambassador FAQs

So, how does this work?

We work with brands, products, and companies, who want to use our awesome network to help promote their products. When you sign up to be a Heartbeat ambassador, tell us more about what you'd be interested in posting about on Instagram or other social sites. We'll do our best to send you campaigns from brands you love.

Our partners work with us to connect them to you - real women who genuinely love their products. Authenticity is important to them! Companies work with us to promote their products, fill out surveys, and more, so there are lots of ways you can make some extra money!

If you’re selected for a campaign, you’ll receive an email with all of the details about what to do and how to get paid, so make sure you check your email often and follow all of the instructions closely.

Most campaigns include a simple task like posting about a new product or brand, and include specific hashtags to use and posting guidelines. Once you complete a campaign and submit your post to our system, you'll be paid within 3-5 days according to the payment preferences in your profile. Yes, we pay you real money to post, and yes, this is real!


This seems too easy -- is this fake?

I get paid to just post on IG and Snap? Yup! We’re a company who believes all people should be rewarded like celebrities for posting about things they love. We believe that YOU have just as much influence as any blogger or “influencer,” regardless of how many followers you have. You can check us out on LinkedIn, or anywhere else for more details. How do I get started?

Get started by signing up to be an ambassador on the “Join Us” page. You have to sign up using your Instagram account. This is just like signing up with one-click Facebook login, but we use Instagram instead. We do not access your password at all. You will then be asked for an email address and Facebook. You don’t need Facebook to sign up, but you’ll likely get more offers if you include it. It’s ok if you don’t have a Facebook account at all! Then make sure to complete the interests and payment preferences information in your profile, and we’ll send you an email with next steps and when we have a campaign for you!


How much do I get paid?

During our sign-up process you will receive an email with your average payout rate. It takes about an hour to receive that first email, so be patient! And make sure emails from aren’t going to your spam folder. Every campaign is different, so there might be payout updates, but there will always be clear dollar amounts or rewards in the description of the campaign. There are also ways to increase your pay rate, like inviting friends to join Heartbeat. We’ll send you details about how these programs work over email too.


How do you calculate how much I get paid? Do more followers matter?

We have a formula that we use, but it’s more than just followers! In fact, we work with ambassadors of all sizes, so even if you only have 300 followers, sign up! Just remember that authentic followers and likes matter MORE than the number of followers, so it doesn’t help if you buy fake likes or followers. We’ll be able to tell! We do not work with people who buy followers. So just be yourself and you’ll get more campaigns! And we’ll actually help you increase your number of followers naturally over time too.


How long will it take me to get paid? What if I haven’t been paid yet?

Your post must be live on your Instagram for 72 hours. You must also submit your post correctly to our system in order for us to track and pay you - this usually means submitting it through the email you received with campaign instructions. We typically pay you within 3-5 business days after the 72 hour time period, as long as your profile is updated with your Paypal or Venmo details. Make sure that payment information (including your email) is up to date by logging into your account and looking under "Payment Preferences." If you haven't received payment after 7 days, please reach out and we'll make it right.


I don’t have Paypal or Venmo, can I still participate?

You can always participate, but we can't pay you unless you have one of these payment systems. We use PayPal and Venmo to make payments easy and accurate. If you don't have one of those accounts, it's free to sign up! Make sure to add your payment information to your profile! We're looking into more methods of payment, but for now, it's just PayPal and Venmo.


Is it ok if my Instagram account is Private?

Yes! We work with many people who have private accounts. To sign up with us, you have to temporarily make your account public, but once you’re signed up, you can make it private again right away, and participate in campaigns just like everyone else!


Is my information secure on Heartbeat? You are asking for my Instagram and PayPal information so I just want to be sure.

Yes! Heartbeat never shares or send your information with anyone without your expressed consent. Any information you provide will be used to provide you with great offers and to get you paid quickly after you complete your offer. All campaigns are opt-in, and we'll never ask you to participate in a campaign you don't want to.


I signed up, what happens next?

Now that you have signed up to be an ambassador, it takes up to 24 hours to receive an email from us, which will have information about your payment rate and how to get started with your first campaign. All of the details and directions will be in that email, so if you haven't received it yet, make sure to check your spam folder and make sure you're receiving emails from


I haven’t received any offers or campaigns yet, what’s up?

If it were up to us, you'd get an offer every day, but our partners give us guidelines on what they are looking for and then we email those who match. This could be location, amount of followers, interests, etc. That is why it is so important to make sure you have identified all of your interests on your profile!

Additionally, if you haven’t received an offer, please check and make sure everything is up-to-date on your profile. If your profile lists your engagement as 0%, something is wrong! Email explaining what’s up and we’ll make that change. We need to be able to read your engagement rate in order to make you offers. If your account is private, that’s ok, but you need to give us access temporarily so we can see your engagement rate, then you can make it private again right away.


I never received the first email after signing up? What do I do?

It takes about an hour to receive your first email, and the email will come from Make sure the emails aren't going to your spam folder, and make sure you’re checking the email address that you entered when you signed up. If you haven't received an email, and you can confirm it’s not in your spam folder, we can re-send it for you.  Please email and request to have the Welcome email re-sent to your email.


Do I have to participate in every campaign?

No! We want your posts to be authentic, so if you don't want to participate in a campaign, you can skip it! But after you’ve opted in and been selected to participate, and have said you’ll do it, please do! Especially if we’re mailing you products, we need to make sure you do what you say you will, so just be true to your word and you’ll be all set.


Can I refer friends who would also be great ambassadors?

Yes, thank you! We actually reward you for each friend you refer. After you sign up, we'll send an email the next day with instructions and your own personal referral link so we can track who you referred. Be sure to use this link when you refer friends so we can track it! The more people you refer, the more your payout rate will increase over time.


Can I refer brands?

We’d love that! If you have favorite brands, please let them know about Heartbeat. You can message them on Facebook or Instagram, or if you know the person in charge of marketing, that’s your best bet! You can say something like this:

Hi [Brand]! I’m an ambassador with Heartbeat (, a network of female millennial ambassadors on Instagram and Snapchat! I’d love to promote your brand - you should work with them! Email to learn more!”


Is there a place where I can see all of the active campaigns?

We don't yet have a place to see your status, but we are working to build that tool for our ambassadors soon! If you have specific questions, we're happy to help answer in the meantime.


Where can I find my offers?

We will send you offers via email, so make sure to check your email inbox often! Make sure your interests in your profile are up to date so we know what you'd like to post about.


How do I change my name or email address in my profile?

To change your email address or name, log in to your profile and simply click on your name or email.


I accidentally signed up using the wrong Facebook account - how do I change this in my profile?

When you’re logged into your profile, you’ll see that your Facebook is connect. There’s a little box where you can “unlink” it. Click this, and re-log in with the correct account.


What’s the “bio link” for? How does it work?

The bio link is super important! This little link makes sure you get credit for all the campaigns you participate in with Heartbeat. By placing it in your bio you give your friends and fans an easy way to click through to the related brand of the campaign you are participating in, and you’ll get the credit for those clicks! If you’re not participating in a campaign, then the bio link will direct people to the Ambassador sign-up page. Anyone who signs up through your link you’ll get the credit for and an extra $0.50 for all your paid posts with Heartbeat for every user that signs up with your link.


Is this just for women?

Men are welcome to sign up and participate. Most of our offers are geared toward women, but you can absolutely sign up. We should have more offers relevant to men in the future.
